Santa Cruz skateboards is the oldest operating brand that makes skateboards in existence. Named after a city on the west coast of the United States, it is a brand that was founded on the values of the Californian lifestyle. The company, founded by Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman, has been in business for more than 40 years.
The brand is still active and powerful as the first day with a consistent team and like Powell with reissues of its old models with legendary graphics created by Jim Phillips. Its screaming hand, slasher and santa cruz dot are timeless logos that continue to be loved by everyone.
Big names in the history of skate have passed through Santa Cruz such as Jeff Kendall, Tom Knox, Jason Jessee, Steve Alba, Eric Dressen and Rob Roskopp.
Today his team consists of Blake Johnson, Fabiana Delfino, Emmanuel Guzman, Erick Winkowski, Jerem Knibbs, Maurio McCoy, Tom Remillard and Tom Asta.
