In 1991 Steve Rocco, founder of World Industries, proposed to Natas Kaupas to create his own brand. Kaupas left Santa Monica Airlines and created 101 Skateboards. During the 90's 101 she was known for her influential videos and her great team of pros, among which were Natas Kaupas, Gabriel Rodriguez, Eric Boston, Adam McNatt, Clyde Singleton, Gino Iannucci, Jason Dill, Kris Marcovich, Andy Stone and Marcus McBride.
